Deepotsav 2024: Ayodhya to witness confluence of cultures, traditions, and spirituality
Deepotsav-2024 Ayodhya is set to bring together a grand confluence of spirituality, tradition, and culture, promising a unique celebration this year.

This is for the first time that a folk festival will be held in RMIC.
Loksangeet Utsav will be inaugurated by well-known Baul singer Purnadas Baul. Swami Suparnananda, secretary RMIC, Sukhbilas Verma, film director Gautam Ghosh will be present at the opening ceremony as guests.

Folk artists from Bengal and Bangladesh will take part in the two-day programme.
Farida Parveen from Bangladesh will present songs composed by Lalon Fakir. Jhumur and Fakiri gan will be presented by Kirit Mahat, Bhaskart Ray and Mansur Fakir on 1 March.
On 2 March, Debdas Chowdhury from Bangladesh will present songs composed by Radharaman. Chandana Majumdar will present Bhatiali and Bicchedi songs while Binay Barman and Pinki Barman will present Bhawoia songs. Noted folk artist Tapan Roy will present folk songs.
Well-known musicians Sandip Ganguly will accompany the artists in table, khol and dhol while Nilotpal Chakraborty will accompany with dotara and banjo. Subrata Babsu, Prasanta Pal, Bankim Sarkar, Prabir Sarkart, Kingsuk Basu and Gazi Abdul Hakim will accompany the artists in keyboard, harmonium, percussion and flute.
